Chacham's Journal: Verbiage: "Satellite" clock accuracy.

So, i saw three "satellite" clocks near each other. Each had a different time. Granted, not by much. Assuming, A had the correct time, B was off by ~1 second, and C was off by 3 seconds.

There is so much humor out there, just waiting to be appreciated. :)

There are quite a few reasons these types of clocks drift like that.

First, most only attempt to "sync" once per day. Some of mine only are able to receive a signal from the USNO every couple of days or so. There will usually be a little radio icon if they have synced within the last 24 hours.

Secondly, the time broadcast these use is extremely low frequency (that's why it carries so far) and as such, your signal can easily be delayed a bit depending on how many times it's bounced between the ground and the
