  • So how often do you read /.?

    I've been reading for years, and have a karma of Excellent. But I haven't had mod points in months. CmdrTaco thinks it's because my reading habits aren't close enough to the "normal" reader. He suggests that I read too often or too infrequently.

    Great. That's not very helpful.

    So how often do you read /.? I'd like to know which direction to head toward.
    • I have the "home" page for one of my browsers set to /. on my PC at work. So I usually log in daily, M-F. The rest depends on my workload. If I am busy (or feel guilty for spending to much time on /.) I don't see that many articles. Other days I'll look through 5, 10, 15 articles. I don't post that often. I am not modded up that often. I don't metamoderate everyday either(I still feel kinda responsible there so I rather not do it if I don't have the time to look into the posts.) Occasionaly I'll log in from
      • Hm. Interesting. Sounds like I may be reading too much, then, instead of not often enough.

        When did I get my /. ID? Honestly, I don't quite remember. I know it's been years, but I don't remember when, exactly. And /.'s search engine doesn't let me do a query that would let me know when I first posted, which would give me at least some idea...

        I just tried the wayback machine, if only to check what the range of IDs were at certain dates. No luck.

        Ah well.
