Journal RyatNrrd's Journal: Weapons

I'm going to keep an open mind and say "If".

If, after a few more months of this, the weapons inspectors continue to find no evidence of banned weapons in Iraq, how is the international community going to respond? We will discovered a man on whose hands is the blood of every American, British and Australian soldier that died in the 2003 invasion of Iraq, as well as every Iraqi who was killed in the fighting and the ensuing chaos which we see every day on the news.

We will have discovered a man who lied to every person in the world in order to justify killing thousands of people. What do we do with a man like that? Why would we not put him under arrest and make him defend himself before an international court? And why would we not then hand him a punishment befitting such a crime?

How long can it take to find the alleged hidden weapons, in a country where there is now no organised resistance to the inspection process? How many months until time is up for the president? I am going to enjoy the irony of Bush's cronies saying, "give the inspectors more time".
