There was lots of different answers to my refrigeration question last week. Practically speaking, and from the answers given, I think my best bet is to completely fill any open space in my fridge with drinks.
New question: If I shake up a can of Pepsi, and then let it sit for a week, and then open it, will the taste be altered? Will the Pepsi taste as if I didn't shake it at all?

If you time it just right you can get a can of soda so cold that it hasn't yet frozen, but if you crack it open and pour it into a frosty glass it will actually freeze as you're pouring it. You end up with frozen foam. It's pretty cool. The trick is getting it cold enough before pouring, because if you get it too cold it will freeze in the can and ruin the whole effect.

Several years ago, I worked for a Pepsi distributor for a few days. I don't recall them ever chilling any of the drinks, but it was a long time ago, so maybe I don't remember. First, the CO2 ends up stored as carbonic acid. I'm not sure what the equilibrium point of that is, but shaking it might force the CO2 to a point where the acid doesn't 'come back' to the original point. That was my point.
And as for frozen foam, I do that all the time. I have a fridge at work (I drink at least one 2 L of diet coke per day...), and I keep it very, very cold. I can pour water into my ice trays and have slush form. It's quite nice.

One poster suggests that the only way to get a "control" Pepsi to experiment with is to visit the factory. Not so. Pepsi from a fountain is mixed (Carbonated water, added to Pepsi syrup) the moment it is dispensed into your cup. This would surely give you the most controlled flavor.
