Journal nursedave's Journal: Peter Arnett 5

Peter Arnett gave this interview to Iraqi military personnel, voluntarily, just recently. I believe, Peter, that this is called "giving aid and comfort to the enemy."

Traitor.

  • Isnt that a death penalty? It was in the UK until a few years ago.
    • I don't think the UK has even had a death penalty in 30+ years. Be that as it may, he should not get off scot-free from this. But I don't think it is death penalty material. He did not give secrets to the enemy. And, if it were death penalty material, Jane Fonda would have been fried in the early 70's for her traitorous activities. There are still lots of Nam vets who would pull the switch.
  • Traitor? Thems harsh words to describe someone who, in his current CNN photo, looks like he's permanently lost most of his marbles. Peter Arnett is the world biggest flake. I did a journal post about the goofball as well.
    • I think traitor is the only word that applies, really. I read your journal post, it made sense. The media in general seem to be so intent on giving us their round-the-clock coverage that they go on and on about the lack of progress... Lack of progress? We're within artillary range of their capital city after less than a week... It was good to see that NBC, after their original BS 'support' of Arnett, has shit-canned him. Of course, that is only CYA on their parts; after all, can't have your journalists
