Journal IDOXLR8's Journal: PHP Development - phpMyEdit, To License or Not 3

I just finished my latest database driven web app for a customer. This time I decided to go with something that I thought would be easier than coding it all manually... Was I ever in for a learning experience. This time I used phpMyEdit as the base for my tables. There is a steep learning curve for phpMyEdit but, once you get the hang of it, if you have any experience with php...you should be alright. The documentation is sparse and the dev sites load really slow,. The big question for my brothers at /* is can I charge for my work when I have massively customized phpMyEdit?

Since you're not allowed to add any restrictions to the license, once you've made the changes to their copy of phpMyEdit, they're free to do whatever they please with it, including keeping it after they've terminated your contract.
