spenvo's Journal: So, my buddy stumbled upon a need...

So my buddy Nathan was learning how to code PHP about 6 months ago. His first project was just a one off / fun web app called http://www.Natebook.com. Anyway, he knew the site would never catch on or be viable, etc. because facebook could just send him some cease and desist letters and shut it down.

He moved on. He's been pouring his soul into a pretty cool skateboarding social network site (that he wants me to keep a secret, whatever) He's spent so many weekends on this site, it's not even funny.

Anyways... things don't always work out as planned.

Apparently, some fears in Malaysia about government/internet censorship spiked an interest into Facebook alternatives...
