Is 'debugger' a British term?

Comments Filter:
  • The term came about because a bug was stuck in one of the early computers and someone had to 'debug' the computer to get it to work. I believe it was a British woman who coined the term. I dont remember her name right now, but she was a pioneer of computer engineering if I recall correctly.
