It was -15 a week ago ... today it's well above freezing, and drizzle. Our January freak temporary thaw came early this year ...

Some smart person made sure to buy property well above any possible flood level.
It is about 3m from the front door to the road for a start and then another 20m down to what probably used to be a runoff.
Right now downing some gatorade after going to the markets in heat and humidity to try and work off a flu type thing that has my nose running.
28.6degC and 66% humidity
So sweating like crazy and a runny nose.

Flu in the summer. Yuck! At least in the winter, if you get feverish, just go for a walk outside. Hopefully, it's only a 24-hour bug.

I am not too worried about the flu.
the price of fresh fruit and veggies yes.
And if I depended on wheat, cotton or coal I would be worried.
To some extent my job depends on coal - the royalties to my employer (the state of qld) amount to a few million per day they are missing out on and I am on a temporary contract. Mid-year budget review is coming up.
