Kennedy Health Plan Would Include Public Insurance
No duh.
a plan that would require everyone to have insurance and would create a government program to compete with private insurers
That private insurers couldn't compete with -- see below.

President Barack Obama has said he has no interest in running GM
Despite planning to own 72.5% of it and a majority of its board of directors (6 govt. appointees plus a UAW appointee, of a 13-member board).
Kennedy's plan would require employers to provide health insurance or pay a subsidy to help support the public plan
Govt. will simply price its plan below cost and undercut private insurers and put them out of business. See also: The predatory pricing policy known as "dumping". Liberals complain that Walmart sloughs off its employees onto govt. health plans, but now everyone will be (encouraged to be) doing it.
It would set a federal standard for Medicaid,... States currently set their own standards for coverage.
More centralized control is the Liberal, i.e. fascist, way.
Some insurance companies, including Hartford, Connecticut- based Aetna Inc., argue that private corporations would be at a disadvantage under a plan that would, in effect, extend Medicare, the U.S. government health plan for the elderly and disabled, to more people. Aetna says it pays an extra $89 billion a year to providers to make up for "underpayments" from patients covered by existing government programs.
Too bad they can't just print their way out of that shortfall, like the new one coming can.
Obama said it is vital that Congress act this year or the opportunity for broad-based changes will slip away.
I.e. Like the non-stimulus, Democrat interest groups payback bill, it must be rammed thru while people are still distracted with the problems in their personal lives. Else they might actually think about things, and we wouldn't want that now would we. Finally:
Kennedy said he would back some measures of effectiveness for medical procedures and products to boost efficiency in health care.
I.e. treatments you take for granted now will be deemed insufficiently cost-effective by your beloved, beneficent big govt., your daddy, whom you now look to to take care of you in all ways.
This is all obvious stuff. Like Justice Sodowhomever being a racist, sexist, and professionally corrupt, and therefore uniquely unqualified for even the law position she has now. Everyone knows it. Yet no one will stop it. America is over. Right-wingers are in denial and the middle and the Left don't care.

Can you find evidence of intent to force people off of their current for-profit health insurance?
Or for that matter, can you back up your conspiracy by showing that somehow the government-backed insurance program would not be successful if it did not extend to all Americans?

That is an opinion you are entitled to have of your own, though compared to the rest of the world Obama is a centrist with conservative leanings. If you compare what he has done so far as president (which isn't all that much in terms of bills signed into law) and put them in a global context he really hasn't instituted any great sweeping changes.

What's our national debt at right now?
Do you have an example to back up that claim? What has he changed unilaterally?
For example ousting GM's president. ...it helped to very slightly undo the financial cuts that we were dealt by the previous administration.
And righting perceived shortchangings hardly falls under the category of stimulative of the economy.
