Journal obliv!on's Journal: Kind of neat
So today I was checking /. for the days happenings in the news. I noticed a new panel on RHS that read as follows:
Disable Advertising
As our way of thanking you for your positive contributions to Slashdot, you are eligible to disable advertising.
I clicked the box assuming that that opted me in for it. The ads haven't disappeared yet, but I thought that was a pretty neat idea. Even if it just lessens the ads and doesn't eliminate them all together that would still be pretty cool!
