On Friday January 17, Bruce Perens will be interviewed on National Public Radio's "Talk of the Nation: Science Friday", with host Ira Flatow. The subject will be the philosophy and business of Open Source software. The interview will take place between 2:20 P.M. and 3:00 EST, that's 11:20 to 12:00 PST. Find your local radio station here . For those of us who don't have a local pbs station, some of them do webcasts. I don't want to slashdot them, but the only one I know of is http://www.wets.org/ - it requires realplayer but not the new one so there should be a usable player for most everyone if you can bring yourself to use an alien binary just once. If anyone else knows more stations with webcasts please post them as replies to the journal NOT to my message so more people see them. Thanks.

  NPR archives its shows. Shows are usually available the evening of the show.

    You can often catch things 'near live', the hourly news is updated very quickly. I assume TOTN will be as well. The front page of NPR.org [npr.org] has direct links to (Real) audio streams.

  Geez I should have looked directly at the Science Friday site [sciencefriday.com]. They list several local stations that provide streams [sciencefriday.com]. MP3, RealMedia, and even WindowsMedia.
