  • How did door-to-door monkey selling work out? Well, it ended with cool-aid....
    • Cool Aid is much maligned. It was Flavor Aid (I think)

      Which reminds me of an image I put together in Photoshop many years ago. A picture of Jim Jones looking off to the side with a liitle image of the Cool Aid guy standing on his shoulder saying "...and then add cyanide. Oh Yeah!" and Jim Jones with a thought bubble reading "Hmmm..."
      • That's how you can tell he didn't actually care about his followers: he knocked 'em all off with an off-brand.

        I liked Iron Man also, and thought it did well with the requisite cliches.

          I just don't actively participate very frequently. There're a few filters that inhibit actually submitting comments. The concept of door-to-door monkey salesman just demanded at least a mention in the journal.

          My condition remains more-or-less unchanged. Depression, anxiety, the usual. Thanks for asking. How about you?
          • I totally missed the War Machine foreshadowing because I never read the comics. Super Heroes were OK, but I was never a big fan of them. Comics never did grab my interest, but I'm starting to try and read some of the better graphic novels out there of late. Some very cool story-telling.

            Of late, things are OK. We're trying to get on a schedule so our time is better spent. I think more structure will certainly help that. Did you happen to catch the PBS show on Depression a couple weeks back? It was ve
