Journal techpawn's Journal: The cake seating at the convention 3

Okay, please explain this to me, because I've been watching this for 6 months now and I think I'm starting to lean for McCain:

"In their public postures, the Obama and Clinton campaigns are far apart. Clinton wants the delegates awarded in conformity with the January election results, which would give her 111 delegates more than Obama's take."

Even though:

"Even Clinton supporters on the rules panel insist that some form of punishment is necessary for Michigan and Florida. The two states violated party rules by scheduling their primaries early, prompting the top Democratic candidates to avoid campaigning there. Obama and several others withdrew their names from the Michigan ballot; Clinton's name remained on the ballot."

Okay punishment. They broke the rules set down by the DNC saying "If you move your Primary you won't be counted". So, umm, what's this punishment the Clinton supports want?

"Donald Fowler, a committee member and Clinton backer from South Carolina, suggested a way to sanction the states without discounting their votes. "Deny them passes to the convention for friends and spouses, and put them in sorry hotels," he said."

Right... Because THAT is the democratic process... Punish them by putting them in 400 dollar a night hotels instead of 900 dollar a night hotels... If the rules say "If you do this, The punishment is this" Then the punishment should be that! I'll take the super delegates with a grain of salt, I mean, in the general election we send our votes to the Electoral College. They're nothing more than super delegates who are SUPPOSE to listen to us.
