Seriously, I have an iPod, why do I want an iPod that can make phone calls only sporadically, and when it DOES work, it radiates so much energy that digital hardline phones will ring? Cingular says they have the fewest dropped calls, but if that's the case why do my friends with cingular keep having to call me back because they lost signal? No, I'll get one of these when they make a CDMA version.

exactly--hopefully they'll move on to good cellular carriers. however, it's fucking fabulous looking. i want one. :D i've been dying for this--i hate carrying around an ipod, a phone, a pda. combine my favorite music device with a great phone and a great pda and i'm there.

Uhhh... if you have a PDA, why do you need an ipod? Surely you can just stick your music on the PDA and listen to it through that?

I have 50GB of music. No PDA has that. Additionally, functionality and sound quality of PDA bites in comparison to the iPod.

I just found out the the iPhone is only 8GB, which is a limiting factor for me now. They will get it up there though if history is any indicator.

Someone said that their agreement with Cingular stated that they had to be Cingular exclusive for a year? 2 years? By then, they should have them in 80GB models.

I'm one of the holdouts that still doesn't have an iPod, a PDA, or a decent cell phone (my cell phone stores numbers and can make calls, no camera, no voice record, no movies, nothing). This is perfect for me.

It'll be six months before you guys will even have a chance at buying one of these and at least a year (if not longer) before they'll be available down here. 8^(

I'm kinda surprised they didn't make an iPod/PDA version (with wifi but without the phone) available now so we could all get our hands on the widescreen, touchpad, iPoddy goodness now and then make us buy the phone upgrade in six months when the FCC certification is complete...
