My current pants are jeans, and their status is "being worn" and "with snow around the cuffs that is melting and annoying the crap out of me." If you mean pants in the british sense, sorry, can't help. That's between me and my jeans. ;)

Black

Woolen. Gabardine. Narrow. Plain front. Pressed. 32 waist, 32 length. Cuff - 16/17 inches. They were copies of a pair I bought in the Portobello market, about 15 years ago.

Plain black belt, 2 inches wide. Silver-coloured buckle - not quite chrome, with old-fashioned tang.

The top-coat that matches these is slung across the back of my chair here.

If it's of interest, I've kicked off my shoes. They are Italian-style winklepickers - also black.

A1)I found this pair - they were a great, heavy wool, with a black on black herring-bone. Like "Darth Tweed". Exquisitely made. There's no tailor's label - but they were a bespoke item, and fit my long rise/high waist without belt or braces. I think they were made abot '65 or so.

A2) You go to a cheap, asian tailor, who apprenticed as a cutter, etc for the name shops. I have a Bengali guy in th eUK. I haven't seen him in about 7 years tho'. There's a Thai tailor, based in Bangkok who is pretty good.
