  • Blaming the tools.. when the workaround is so trivial that you can't be arsed, right?

I'm sorry... What is Sharpton's great 'sin'? Successfully exploiting basic instincts for a buck? Really, what's the big deal? I thought you were pro capitalism or something.

    • What is Sharpton's great 'sin'? Successfully exploiting basic instincts for a buck?

Sharpton perverts the goal of Matt 4:19 [wikipedia.org]. Christ sought to promote some totally average men to roles of spiritual leadership, not to position them to reduce others to mere fish.
The Wikipedia link mentions shepherding as another key piece of imagery, notable at the end of the Gospel of John where Jesus is reversing Peter's denials, telling Peter, "feed my sheep".
The fisher and shepherd imagery, while simple enough to understand, are by no means intended to say that people are livestock or pondstock. This is

      • That doesn't explain why you single out Sharpton. What he doing that is so different from any other preacher touting your conformity? He only conducting business like they do. Why would you even consider that any of them are practicing some kind of 'spirituality'? I don't like the guy either, but he's just one of many of your Jerry Falwell types out for a fast buck and to keep the flock in extremely tight formation for easy pickings, the same way sharks herd their food before going for the kill.

I realize you're trolling, but seriously? You don't understand the difference between teaching people to be mature, spiritually aware adults vs. looters?

          your Jerry Falwell types

You would have to visit my church to be grasped by the paradox at work in this formulation.

          • He is no different than any of the others that you either support or remain silent who preach hate and disrespect.. You must be using this 'maturity' angle as some diversion. Forget about it. They are the same. They work for money. You are just following and believing what you see on the TV, and as always, with you it's the celebrity... If you weren't so... er... selective, you could be taken a bit more seriously. Sorry, you are proving to be the troll. Everything you complain about applies every bit as mu

This is remarkable. You're accusing me of supporting unnamed people, and tasking me with regulating their behavior? Unless, of course, they are same-sex and seek a ceremony they call "marriage", I presume?

You are just following and believing what you see on the TV

I was just watching Luna with the kids, watch HGTV and a bit of NBC News 4. My viewing is so scant that, while I know the name of Falwell, I can state honestly I've never seen his show.
Nor, come to think of it, have I ever watched any televangelist.

You support everything Sharpton/Obama/etc does when somebody else more to your liking does it.

I'm sorry? I have supported any conservative who went int

              • Not just Ollie North under your idol, but you conveniently decided to forget Afghanistan and Iraq. And the spying, and the prisons, and on and on... well... Eh, whatever.. you won't understand... No, actually I think you don't care... Doing so will will require a complete 180 on your part... Ain't gonna happen.

You're accusing me of supporting unnamed people...?

Goes without saying... Robertson is the most obvious... And you continue with the bigotry, in the name of 'religious liberty'(!) (using your god's na
