  • To use it, you must go to the address book (where you found your code) and click Register. This will give you 2 options: Wii and Other. Other lets add any email address, whether it's a cell phone, gmail, whatever. When you add an email, it sends an email to that address telling the owner that someone with a Wii registered this address and they can accept by replying. Then you can send and receive emails to/from that address. The Wii's email address is w[Wii Number]@wii.com. Obviously this uses a whitel

    • I added yours on saturday.

      And of course I've created some mii's! well, I've made 2 ;).
My kids have made about a dozen though. I think they might like the mii thing more than some of the games!!! LOL!

Even my wife went through and made one. That was the mii she used to play bowling until 2:30am.

Also worth noting is that they updated the forecast channel this morning so you can start using that. :-)

Another thing worth noting is that Donkey Kong Jr, is one of the downloadable games!!!
      • Yeah I haven't added you yet, so I'll do that when I get home. I haven't been on today, so I haven't played with the Forecast channel. I'll send you my Mii, so next time you go into the Mii Channel, you'll see him plop out of the sky.

I have inside info that I'm getting a Wii points card with about $25-$30 on it for Christmas, so I'm holding out on buying things until then... I keep drooling over some of the games, tho. I haven't played Altered Beast in YEARS!

        • I'm glad sega lost the console war so gracefully. It's nice to see those games on there. I haven't even heard the name altered beast in like 20 years. I also saw sonic the hedgehog on there. I saw that sonic will also be making an appearence in the new smash bros.!
          • When I was looking for the Zelda: Collector's Edition for the Game Cube, I found Sonic the Collection... I loves me some Sonic!
            • I didn't even know there was a sonic collection for GC. Although my GC came with the zelda disc. :-)

ocarina of time was the closest my wife ever game to gaming prior to the wii. When Link is a little boy he reminded her of our (at the time) youngest son who walked link and carried things a little wobbly like him. She would read off the walkthrough while I played. I know it was a little cheating, but it was fun to play it with her though she'd never touch the controller.

The wii is a ton of fun.
              I can't be
              • I figured that's just an incentive to hurry up and get your Wii online so they can grow the community and show that there is a demand for online games and channels. And if the $5 is that big a deal to someone, they can use their f'ing computer! (Because seriously, how many people are going to have WiFi and NOT own a computer.)
  • I finally got around to getting my own Wii. I wasn't sure if I'd have enough allotments to get one before Christmas, but I picked it up today. I got my family all set up with Mii's.

My Wii code is 0892 7541 9738 5025. Add me, so I can check out your Mii's, and also what this connectivity does.

If all else fails, lower your standards.

Working...
