SiliconJesus's Journal: Wii Strap Replacement

Nintendo has a form available for Wii owners to get replacement straps for their Wiimote controllers. You need the serial number from your Wii system to fill out the form. Nintendo says they'll begin shipping on December 21.

I wonder if Nintendo AU will do the same thing? The strap on my second Wii-mote looks definitely stronger/thicker - I wouldn't mind the same strap for my first Wii-mote. So far I haven't had any real problems, though my hand does get a bit sweaty playing Wii Sports and I can see how easy it would be to lose grip and send the Wii-mote flying. I might grab some of the silicon sleeves that are available and see if they help at all...

I have 3 Wiimotes, and I ordered 4. I'd be happy to send you my 4th one Arb (if you're willing to help with shipping a 1oz object from the US to Ozland).

I'll get in touch with Nintendo AU first and see if they have plans to send replacements first. They seem a little slow updating their site down here. The Nintendo "Members Club" only just added a Wii option in our profiles - a week late, but that's better than never, right? I would have thought they'd have all the new Wii content ready to go for launch, but no... They still don't have any Wii registration options like the US or EU sites have, and when (or if?) they do, I can guarantee we'll miss out on the
