I'm 64, type 2 diabetic, was told I have beginning cataracts in both eyes just like my mom.
Controlling my blood sugar will - I hope - prevent diabetic damage to my retinas.
Getting IODs and actually being able to shift focus again sounds great - I just know that I, too, am going to freak out at the needle. (I did at a broncoscopy, they just shot some diazepam in the IV :-) )
