Journal Short Circuit's Journal: Ask the Dot: Healthy Ramen? 3

A friend of mine is looking for healthy ramen he can take to school and eat. He's not averse to ordering off the Internet. His current selection, though, has 1100mg of sodium to a cup.

So, what are his options?

  • I usually did not use the "seasoning" packet (aka salt packet) that came with any raamen I bought. I reasoned that the elimination of the seasoning probably helpd a great deal towards making them better. Not healthy, but better.

    • yea. tell your friend to only use half a packet if he doesn't want his massive dose of MSG and salt. btw: i've been enjoying Sapporo Ichiban [kgrocer.com] ramen. my local grocery store even carries two flavors of it. it has more noodles and a better flavor. (but i cook ramen right - with vegetables, an egg, and some meat) have him look up ramen on wikipedia for a new outlook on ramen noodle soup.
