Difference between single- and dual-channel SCSI cards?

  • Nope - stuff all six on the same cable. SCSI is nice that way. Make sure all the drives are the same speed, however...

While it is not RAID, I've got an Adaptec 29160N adapter. I had a SCSI-II CDRW and DVD player on one chain, 4 U160 drives on the 68 pin connector. I _thought_ it was dual channel when I got it. When I pulled the CD and DVD drive, I saw a big speed jump. (bang head on wall)
