Journal sherms's Journal: Conclusions of review Police Post

After waiting and reviewing the input of others regarding my comment in http://it.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=06/06/29/188221 I was saddend by the lack of broad perspective responses. It was VERY obvious most just read a section of my comment and slammed me and all Police for it. It made me recall several incidents of were the press miss quoted me, hurting other people. I was being open and honest based on the many years of being in police work. For slashdoters to slam so much and so few to even make or even give me some help was pathetic and cowardess. I felt bad for the Military person who responded, since we had several officers in Iraq who did shoot and kill. They still said being a cop is worse. I tried my best to not be an asshole, so much so I would record much of what I did and would listen to it to see if I sounded even close to being off base or an ass. I was suprised some times and quickly changed some of my tactics. I wish all police would try that.
