      Thanks for the charts. They were perfect, the article is stupid and typically partisan, trying to single out individuals and one particular faction like you do. There is still nothing to force people to reelect the politician. And, if you notice, the serious increase began in the 1870s. In fact the climb was steady throughout, it really only dipped briefly near the civil war(well, actually it seemed to begin in the 1820s(what was happening then?), but sti
