      In local news, I myself am calling lawyers (no, not just my wife, nor her friends). It seems the "developer" next door (at least he seems to think he is) decided to take down the fence that straddled both our properties, his reasoning being that since it was in the middle of the property line, it
      • Called Lotte and she's going to give him until the Weds deadline. She's also been suffering through housbuilding woes (e.g. them not finishing work, them half-finishing work, them denying what was in the building plans as if she was just making things up and, probably worse, fighting her to the last day on her commission). Freedom, I've also gotta say the dudes at Village Settlements where pretty boss too. Very very professional. Very "slow knife penetrates".

        • But I bet if he'd been empathetic, kow-tow a bit, and come up with a good compromise it'd never have gotten to that point.

          Upon discussion with the Planning and Permitting dept of WashGrov, these "developers" have a history of blazing ahead, getting called out on mistakes (that could have been mitigated had they gone through proper channels), and then having to go back and repair. Like how in the first house the building inspector said the basement was a couple of inches too short to be a habitable space;
