bloodredsun's Journal: Another "Transition" Specied found

Journal by bloodredsun

As Archaeopteryx was for Pterosaurs and birds, so is the newly discovered fossil remains of Tiktaalik for fish to four-footed land animals.

While only a little more significant that previous ones due to it filling a larger than normal gap in the fossil record, it is still contentious enough to have anti-evolutionists and ID'ists frothing at the mouth/gills/spiracles.

Any other theory would be generally aclaimed as fact by now, but the religous implications of evolution still cause many people to simply switch off, stop thinking and instead rely on what they were told to believe as children. The realisation that if one tenet of their faith is wrong so why not others scares many people and they instinctively become defensive.
