Journal Saige's Journal: Bra ads... on Slashdot? 8

Just a quick note to say that I am utterly STUMPED why I'd be seeing Lane Bryant bra ads here on Slashdot. You want to talk about not hitting the target audience...

On a side note, I've just taken a new position here at Microsoft with a new team. I'll update about that soon, but it's definitely something I'm very excited about!

  • Well ... I know I haven't seen any bra ads, so maybe they are making it to their target audience somehow. I mean, Lane Bryant may not be your preferred brand, but I'd wager you're at least 95% more likely to wear a bra than I am.

      You wouldn't be allowed to be jealous, right? This is Slashdot after all, and we all hate Microsoft, don't we?
      • You know my rebellious status at slashdot. Ever since the beginning, my profile states that linux isn't always the answer and microsoft isn't always the problem. I've got 3 machines, 2 have XP on them, the other is my email server that is linux. So I will be jealous ;)
  • I wonder if those are those ridiculously high-tech bras Tomble was telling me about the other day, that Marks and Sparks sells in England. They have soft, removable plastic inserts in the cups instead of underwires, and can be safely washed and dried. Apparently they were the result of a television show they did several years ago on the BBC, where they set engineers on the problem of optimally redesigning everyday objects.
