Journal mashihabong's Journal: Even Microsoft Depends on Opensource!

I don't think many people really about this. During my research on instant messengers to extend features on my own project, I found something interesting about MSN messenger. From what I see and my hypothesis, it seems that MSN messenger is originally created from Jabber because GAIM and any other universal messenger can connect to the protocols that MSN messenger uses. It become more interesting when I see the advanced configuration and the source code of GAIM, it doesn't appear anything special in order to connect to MSN network. By this hypothesis, if MSN messenger is officially a trademark or a product of Microsoft, Microsoft actually doesn't reject opensource technology. Beside, it uses opensource technology to enhance its products and services.
