Journal JabberWokky's Journal: Forgotten References 10
This reference is to one of my all time favorite SF novels. And I had almost forgotten about it. I need to dig around and see if the author has released anything new.
Remember to say hello to your bank teller.

(Incidently, Fallen Angels, The Number of the Beast by Heinlein, 3001 by Arthur C. Clarke and a graphic novel whose title and author escapes me are the only SCA references I can think of).

Can you name the series of fiction books in which the first book was a Science Fiction novel but in which (almost) all further books in the series where Fantasy novels?

Escape from a planet---> Escape Velocity
A long string of the books are named The Warlock xxxxx
(The Warlock Enraged, The Warlock Wandering, The Warlock Is Missing, etc)
The first novel is about a group of people from the SCA who get together and get on a spaceship to start a planet set in the middle ages, cryogenic sleep capsules, memory implantation, the whole nine yards. All Science Fiction.
The rest of them have this entire magic / telepathy thing going on that leaks over from a parallel dimension, and are (with the exception of the occasional robot) definitely Fantasy novels.
Not that I would add them to my must read list or anything, they are not
