streak's Journal: Musings at work

Well today I found out that my project has been cancelled. Was this something that I had seen coming? No way. It blindsided me like a passenger train t-boning a stalled car on the tracks.
Luckily, my job is still intact, I will just be assigned to another project. Of course with this, my boss decided to leave the company. Apparently he had been wanting to move on for a while now, and this just happened to be the perfect time (since he was in charge of this project). So I'm pretty much in workspace limbo right now.

Just sitting here in front of my computer, trying to fill 9-10 hrs a day. Its really hard actually. I find myself constantly hitting refresh on /. to see if any new stories have been posted, and I get a new one about once an hour, and it keeps my curiousity for about 10 minutes maximum, unless it is something I'm really interested in.

I should just leave early, since I'm not being productive at all (well there is nothing to be productive on) and I have some stuff I should get done back at home. Sigh.
