SirCyn's Journal: Slashdot Posting

Why is it that some people can post stories about sctratchin thier butt, and it gest on the front page of Slashdot? But people in the know find a breaking story and can't get it on slashdot.

I found a good story yesterday. One that many people would probably want to read about. I posted it. REJECTED. Why am I not suprised?

I've never had a story posted. I only submit when I find something new and interesting. Much more interesting that someone scratching their butt.

Alas, I tried again. Maybe my original write-up wasn't all that good. I do write better than most (in my opinion anyway). So maybe a second try is in order. A much better write-up, with additional links (like you couldn't find it all before), and a bit more descriptive. I got it all just perfect. Submitted it. Rejected, again.

Now I am a bit suprised. Mostly I am angered. Zonk shot down both. Maybe I'll try again when he's not posting. CmdrTaco will surely post it, he posts anything and everything; even if it is a dupe that's still on the front page.

Well I feel a bit better now that I bashed the posters a bit. What slashdot really needs is a feedback method. I wonder many times if the posters read slashdot at all, if they read any of the comments. I doubt it. I very much doubt it.
