Journal FortKnox's Journal: Go on a crime spree (Submission) 14

I just submitted this: Loophole in US Law allows for Crime Spree in Idaho

According to a law professor, there is an area in the Idaho portion of Yellowstone park where you could legally commit any crime and get away with it! Due to wierd districts in Yellowstone over state lines along with a district with zero population, you can pretty much get away with anything.

The only problem being is that now I can sneak up on you and kill you and take your computer and satellite dish, all with impunity.

Nope, that wouldn't fix it - whatever the crime, the 6th Amendment entitles you to a trial "by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law" - and in this particular place, nobody meets those criteria, making any such jury impossible.
