Journal Boomhauer's Journal: HGTG
Ok, this weekend I went and saw it. Having read 4 of the 5 books, listened to the radio program and seen DA nearly live one year at JavaOne; (I got up late that day and had to sit in overflow seating); I'll have to say that it was enjoyable. I thought they handled the 'infinite probability drive' very nicely.
All in all I would give it an A- if you are a fan of the books and a C if you are not. (Let's face it if you aren't a fan of the books, you won't go see it anyhow so who cares if you like it or not)
As with most things these days, I did come away feeling a little sad. Arthur walked away with the girl after having blown it with her the first time. Hollywood keeps promising us that you can get a second chance at love. That's rarely true; or in the spirit of the movie "It's highly improbable."
Other than that, great movie. If you haven't seen it, go see it just so we can artificially inflate the viewer ship and they will make the the other 4 books of the trilogy into movies.
