Journal Jaguar777's Journal: "daisy chaining" 3

Daisy Chaining. It's not just for computers anymore.

Growing numbers of teenagers are taking part in a new group sex craze known as 'daisy chaining', nurses warned yesterday.

I'm only 27, and I already feel like I am an old man. When I was in High School things weren't half as crazy as they are now. I can't believe all the things I am hearing about sexual acts being performed by teens.

The only "daisy chaining" I did in HS involved hard drives. We were happy to get to second base, and every kid out there these days hits a grand slam. What upset the balance? I don't have any kids yet, but at the rate things are going I am going to have to explain STD's to my kids before they go to kindergarten.

I remember hearing somebody say this generation would be more responsible than us Gen X'ers.
Hmmm... maybe not.

Wow. I really do sound like an old man :)

  • Just like that "jelly bracelet" myth a year or two back. Yeah, you might have a miniscule portion of kids doing this, but chances are, you had a miniscule portion of kids doing it twenty years ago. Just like the "Summer of Free Love"; some small microcosm of a trend gets blown out of proportion 'cause of its salacious nature.

  • Personally I don't see why this is a concern. Really if kids are going to go out and have sex anyways, we might as well encourage them to have sex with as many parteners as they can so it is more fun for them. Obviously we'll need to provide more condoms for them, but its a small price to pay to keep them from getting stds since we don't want to enforce some sense of morality. Maybe we need to provide proper training for safe sex parties, more funding for sex-ed in school, maybe bring in a few porn actor
