freejung's Journal: I Got Married!

Yes, you heard me right, folks!

This is a formal announcement of the marriage of Eli Snyder to Rachel ("Rae") Amber Robinson, which took place on a beach near Fort Bragg California on the 26th of March 2005.

It was a beautiful ceremony performed by my sister-in-law Katrina (who happens to be a minister in the Universal Life Church). Only my grandmother Virginia, my brother Forest, and my two nieces Shyli and Meadow were in attendance.

Rae and I connect on a level which is nearly impossible to explain, except that those of you who have experienced it know what I'm talking about. I've never been so happy. I can't even begin to tell you. I feel like a universe of infinite beautiful possibilities has opened before me. I feel like saying any number of equally cheesy and sappy things, but I'll spare you ;-). I think you get the idea.

Congrats! This means you no longer have to put up with people always asking you when you're going to get married. It's really starting to annoy me, actually (and I'm only 26, don't plan on getting married for at least another 6 years.)

yet, and we're not really ready to have any for a couple of years, though I'm sure my mom and my grandmother will start bugging me about it right away ;-).

No shotguns involved, and yes it was quick, and no she's not pregnant, but there were reasons for hurrying things a bit. I'm very happy it happened this way. We're going to have another ceremony at some point so that all the friends and family can be there.

I've been rather busy. I'll try to check in on slashdot from time to time, but it tends to take up a lot of your spare time and I don't have much of that at the moment. Thanks for the kind words though.

How does it feel besides great?

Well... a bit surprising, quite frankly. Still not completely used to it. But it does feel great, and I'm very happy about it. I've never been married before, so this is all new to me. I think we have a very good chance of making it work very well.
