Nearly 500,000 pro-Syrian protesters waved flags and chanted anti-American slogans in a central Beirut square Tuesday, answering a nationwide call by the militant Shiite Muslim Hezbollah group for a demonstration to counter weeks of massive rallies demanding Syrian forces leave Lebanon.

It is a good thing that America is nothing like what Hezbollah makes it out to be. Otherwise, one MOAB today could have solved 500,000 problems.

Yeah. I noticed that too. I did a google for "Mother of all bombs" and ended up getting a globalsecurity link again.

Of course when you don't write journal entries very often it is easy to go on a streak about something :) I have been trying to think of something to write about, but I don't want to go over the same things other people are talking about in their journals.

500,000 people peacefully demonstrating for freedom from effective occupation == democracy "taking root" (even though they're protesting in a non-democratic regime against another regime for something completely different than democracy.... but whatever. People shouldn't be letting silly things like reality get in the way of their conclusions...).
