ZDOne writes "Microsoft has been dragging its feet when it comes to hosted applications. However, the company got an unexpected kick in the tail this week when a UK ISP and hosting company Fasthosts announced that it was going to start offering a streamed version of Microsoft's cash-cow productivity application. This seemed like a strange move for the ISP to make but Microsoft was slow to comment on the story so it was assumed that this was actually an unofficial Redmond experiment — carried out by a proxy. However, a couple of days after the Fasthosts announcement Microsoft announced that, "At present, streaming Microsoft products like Office 2007 via the web infringes our license regulations. Fasthosts have been informed of this and we are currently working with them to rectify this situation". Will be interesting to see how this pans out and whether Microsoft has been pulling the strings all along." Link to Original Source
