superglaze writes "Just a couple of days after being launched, the BBC's iPlayer video-on-demand app, supposedly just for a limited range of Symbian Series 60 handsets and just for Wi-Fi (so as not to overwhelm cellular networks), has been hacked. As a video on ZDNet.co.uk demonstrates, a simple modification to a Javascript file in the Nokia installer file means the widget can run on a Nokia E71 (not supported) and over 3G (definitely not supported). The video doesn't show the hack itself, obviously, for legal reasons, but it came straight off Google anyway. Over to the BBC for the next move!" Link to Original Source

It's no surprise that things are so screwed up: everyone that knows how
to run a government is either driving taxicabs or cutting hair.
