It is by will alone I set my mind in motion. It is by the keys of the board that thoughts aquire speed. The tendons acquire pain. The pain becomes a warning. It is by will alone I set my mind in motion.

I was editor in chief for Slashdot's parent company, SourceForge Inc., until December 31, 2008. I am now mostly retired but still do a little freelance writing, including this column, and I do a little fill-in editing on Slashdot now and then. As far as video, I *might* do a project for you if it sounds like fun. Money? Pay what you can. If the video you want to do sounds interesting enough, $$ won't be a barrier.

I have a degree in journalism. I wrote much of the code that makes Slashdot go from January 2000 to September 2010, and also occasionally edited stories.

I maintained MacPerl, and do lots of other Perl modules. Mac OS was my primary OS for more than 15 years, and I currently do most of my work on Mac OS X and Linux.

I also do some music.

I am a Principal Software Engineer at Marchex.

I like tea and make my own beer.

I'm a programmer, currently writing perl for the Sinister SourceForge Keiretsu.
