Weird PPP Dialup Problems

Bill Kocik wanted to share this problem with you all in the hopes of finding a solution: "I've recently configured my Red Hat 5.1 box for ppp dialup. Only one user besides myself will ever be using it, and on his first try yesterday he ran into a weird sort of problem. He couldn't hit my web server, and when he tried to ftp he got a message like "failed to create socket: Blocking operation in progress". I don't even know where to start on this one. I'm using pppd version 2.3.3 and the latest mgetty, although I can't remember it's version number, and kernel 2.0.35-2. Any ideas?"
