Integrating Open Source And Active Directory? 2

Yet another in the endless parade of Anonymous Cowards asks this question which many network admins might appreciate: "Our organization currently uses open source tools for our basic network services such as DHCP, DNS, and LDAP. The Windows people are planning to implement Windows 2000 this summer. I am led to believe by them that Windows 2000 requries that it run these services so that Active Directory will function properly. We would like to avoid this. How are other organizations handling this issue? Are the Bind, ISC and Open LDAP people planning to provide functionality in their tools that Windows 2000 requires?" How much work would it take to get Windows 2000 and Active Directory working on an existing network infrastructure?
